Eric Carle English Art Studio

Wonderful Art Class and Creative Playtime for your kids in Apgujeong area

Eric Carle Seoul

Eric Carle and especially his most famous book “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” is known worldwide and he is actually also very popular in Korea.

I had a chance to visit his installation in Yoongdang Art Hall and me and my kids were really amazed. The art studio is designed as an art-making and reading program that will be followed by an exhibit of his drawings called “The World of Eric Carle” next month.

  1. We plan to go here on Saturday! Our little one is too young to know what is going on (only 8months) but I used to be an art teacher in the States and used Eric Carle books for inspiration and projects all the time. I’m excited! Do you know when exactly the exhibit starts since that will be more fitting for us as opposed to the kid’s studio? Thanks!

    1. Thanks for your message, Mud and Kisses! The exhibition has started since April 13 and will continue until September 2nd. Be careful that the venue is different… you should go to Seongnam Culture Arts Center (south Seoul in the direction of Suwon) instead of Yoondang Art Hall. The two events run in parallel but not same location. If you can read Korean, check http://www.ericcarlekorea.co.kr/… Map for Seongnam Culture Arts Center, in English, there: http://www.snart.or.kr/eng/english_07.html

By the way, let us know how the exhibit was… as I tried only the Eric Carle Art Class in Apgujeong…

      1. Thank you for the info! would have hated ending up in the wrong place. I will let you know! We ended up having a lazy Saturday at the house because of all the rain but will make it here soon!
