Apple-mango-raspberries crumble

This colorful and juicy tart with a sweet crusty topping is my favorite. And the kids love it too!


For the crumble

  • Flour    250g
  • Brown sugar   120g
  • Butter    120g
  • Cinnamon

For the filling

  • 2 apples
  • Raspberries (frozen or fresh) 200g
  • Mango (frozen or fresh) 200g


Preheat the oven to 180°C

Place the butter, sugar and flour into a large bowl and blend them together. Use your fingertips to blend just until the mixture resembles coarse meal with some small (roughly pea-size) butter lumps.

Grease a baking dish with butter and spread the peeled and sliced apples, mango and raspberries (they can be frozen). Spread the crumble mixture over the top of the fruits and sprinkle with little bit of cinnamon. Place the dish in the centre of the pre-heated oven and bake for 30 minutes until the crumble top turns golden brown.

You can serve cold or warm, with ice cream, double cream or custard.
