Anmyeondo – land of sand and pines

Just came back from an amazing trip to Anmyeondo and wanted to share some pics with you ;-).

Anmyeondo is an island located south of Taean and connected to the mainland with a bridge. The area is well known for yummy seafood and a line of 14 pristine beaches.

We started to explore the island from the southern Kkotji Beach (꽃지해수욕장) and loved the area so much that we only had time to visit 4 beaches. We definitely have to come back!

If you happen to go there try to explore as many beaches as you can. Some of them are very very natural without any constructions around – just white sand, grass fields and pine forest. You can also take the Haebyeongil walk connecting all the beaches of the island.

There is also the Anmyeondo Beach Shrimp Festival (안면도 백사장대하축제) running this year until October 27th. Don’t miss it!

How to get there:

From Seoul Central City Terminal, take an intercity bus to Anmyeondo Island (안면도).
* Bus Schedule: 07:20, 10:50, 13:40, 17:40
